De Giorgio also flirts with the stadium-style techno riffing on 'Dende', acid-soaked intensity courtesy of "Borel" and delivers the Ben Klock-friendly Jonas Kopp take on "Borel" , but the release also has more reflective moments, especially Rick Wilhite's introspective, dubby take on "Babilania" and De Giorgio's own deep techno on "Prazeres".

Sambatek marks Kirk De Giorgio's most dance floor friendly release, and alongside his Machine nights with Ben Sims, sees him voyage farther than ever into the peak-time space. Based primarily around Latino percussion and rolling, big-room grooves, there's enough variety here to keep even the casual techno listener interested.
