When compared with the aggro maximalism of "We Dem Boyz," "Promises" is a breath of fresh air. Maino and Troy Ave cook up "Something Epic." It's no secret that both Maino and Troy Ave will go far, far out of their way to let you know that they're from NY, and that NY is where hip-hop was born, and they're "bringing NY back."
