Good songs for sure. At least one is probably flat-out stolen from the artist, who is still alive, living at last report in Rhode Island: Willy Wright's excellent cover of Curtis Mayfield's "Right On For the Darkness." This single, put out privately by Willy, with himself on vocal, flute and rhythm guitar, and Harry Jensen (of the Jimmy Castor Band) on lead, was issued in a limited edition on Willy Wright and Susan Haynes' label HOTEL RECORDS. He has never received a dime from this or any other of the compilations who reproduce his work, but it is wonderful, and should lead the serious soul collector to look for his albums and other single.
