The criticism above aside this is a generous packed set with 75-tracks and only two out-and-out duds - a bizarre 1980 live version of Curtis Mayfield's great 'Move On Up' with horrible synthesiser accompaniment - why this is here I cannot guess, presumably they couldn't licence the original 1970 studio version from Charly Records but liked the song's title as a tag-line for the set but pur-lease a 1980 live version with synths..... odd to put it politely. The rarities that are part of the advertising tag-line for this set do include some rarely compiled gems such as the aforementioned Luther Ingram tune, the fantastic soul-jazz groove of "Ain't There Something Money Can't Buy" by Young-Holt Unlimited and an unexpectedly tough version of James Brown's great funk-burner "There Was A Time" by the Windy-City soulman Gene Chandler.
