Legendary New York photographer Martin HM Schreiber met the Material Girl at a workshop he ran called Photographing the Nude. His extraordinary works inspired us at wavemusic to assemble the first chapter in the new ICONS compilation series in which we paint a musical portrait of a specific period in the lives of exceptional individuals from the modern era, while also transporting it into the present. CD 1 takes us into the new millennium, illustrating Madonna's massive and ongoing impact on the contemporary Dance scene. CD 2 is a wonderful journey back in time to an era when the Queen of Pop launched her world-conquering career: 80s gems that probably influenced her sound in the first decade of her work.
