Headed in to the summer months, and inevitably the start of the Ibiza season, Cr2 is releasing a compilation album this Friday, May 26th. The Ibiza Opening Party compilation comes with 39 total tracks, two of which are continuous mixes, featuring releases from heavy hitters such as Yotto, Arman van Helden, Paul Wolford, and the Christopher Kah record, Shift, which is being premiered today via Dance and Rave. Shift is a moody progressive house anthem that captures the essence of Ibiza perfectly. The track’s tribal-touched drum pattern paves the way for a distant vocal whisper to grace over Kah’s increasingly eerie melody. Wavering synth melodies slowly creep in from the background while the fractured vocals cut in and out through the pixelated high end, leaving the throbbing bass and crisp hi hats to hold the rhythm.
