"Looking Glass" is the clearest bridge back to the EP's predecessor, with a thumping beat and grunts that yell "pump!" But where vocals drove the energy on Volume One, here they're faint flashes across the glimmering surface. On the other two cuts, glowing atmospheres take the lead. "A Mind's Eye Melody" is a warm and transient groover, starting with breezy hand drums before layering on soul-soothing arps. "Under Cherry Blossoms (Mind's Eye Reprise)" is beatless, putting the attention on a delicate build-up of sparkling loops that evokes the first moments of dawn.
