Berlin is a city unlike any other and it has gained a reputation as well as international recognition over the past years for its free-spirited and highly diverse cultural scene. Due in part to its constantly shifting identity, Berlin has proven to be a cradle for creativity and innovation as well as a fertile breeding ground for new artistic trends. For over a decade now, the Berlin Music Commission has endeavoured to take the citys flourishing music scene under its wing, organizing events, connecting key players and acting as a mediator towards local policy makers to ensure the industrys sustainability.
