Combining classic blues covers with six of Thad's original songs, Beckman and Montgomery have compiled a tremendously rich live recording that seems too sonically complete to be coming from just two guys playing in the same room at the same time. You won't find any digital wizardry or post-production magic here. None of that was necessary. And though it took a long time for the planets (and touring schedules) to align so that these two legendary musicans could finally record an album together, everyone agrees that it was well worth the wait.
