With his new track, ‘The Future,’ MaRLo explores the darker sounds of trance for a big-room sound with ominous chords. Right off the bat, MaRLo builds us up to a minimal trouse drop preceded by the track’s reoccurring phrase, “time for the future.” The choppy, manipulated synths convey an edgier feel that keeps listeners on their toes. “The Future” breaks into a more traditional trance melody filled with euphoric, echoing sounds at the song’s midway point, but MaRLo immediately reverts back to his driving glitchy, unexpected rifts for the duration of the track.
