Certainly, that was the case with the re-edit of Showtek and Prime’s club smash Cannonball. In saying that however, once remixed, the vocal is able to come into its own as the remixer is enabled to meld the added element of the track with the overall record, rather than it be an afterthought. And as Kryder, a man who has really stepped up recently, re-invents the track, Koma’s top line becomes far more impressive, working brilliantly with Kryder’s relentless melodic attack.
