IMAGINATION est un groupe d'electro-funk créé par Leee John Ashley Ingram et Errol Kennedy à Londres en 1981. Leee John est élevé à New York City où il fait des chœurs pour les Delfonics et les Chairmen Of The Board. Détecté par Trevor Horn, il rencontre Ashley Ingram lors d'une audition et ils forment ensemble le duo Fizz. De retour en Angleterre ils rencontrent Errol Kennedy, le batteur du groupe américain Midnight Express, avec lequel ils vont créer le trio funk Imagination. Le nom IMAGINATION est un hommage à l'une des plus célèbres chansons de John Lennon : "Imagine".
