American recording artist Jhené Aiko continues promoting her her debut studio album “Souled Out“, scheduled to be released on September 9, 2014 via Artium and Def Jam. Following the release of the lead single “To Love & Die“, the singer confirmed the next one. “The Pressure” is the second official single taken from the album, it was premiered on Vogue magazine’s website and was released for digital download on July 17, 2014. The song was written by Aiko, alongside long time collabarotors Mac Robinson and Brian Warfield while the production was handled by the latter two under their production name Fisticuffs. Backed by a guitar-tinged, hip-hop production containing synths, metallic slaps and a shaky beat “The Pressure” is a PBR&B song that thematically revolves around Aiko’s stress of finishing her debut album.
