English singer-songwriter and TV presente Olly Murs is ready to impact th music scene with brand new single “Wrapped Up“. The track is confirmed as the first cut taken from his upcoming fourth studio album “Never Been Better“, scheduled to be released on November 24, 2014 via Sony Music Entertainment.

“Wrapped Up” has the guest collaboration of Gym Class Heroes frontman, American singer-songwriter Travie McCoy. It will be premiered on radio later this week and it’s scheduled to be released on iTunes (UK) on November 16th.

Murs confirmed the name of the lead single during Google Hangout on September 29th.

According Digital Spy, “Wrapped Up” has a funky disco riff, dancefloor beat and an infectious chorus. It’s destined to be the get-up-and-dance anthem at this year’s Christmas parties.

“Wrapped Up” was written by Murs, McCoy, Steve Robson and Claude Kelly. It received its first play on Capital FM on Friday October 3rd. The official lyric video was premiered right after on VEVO.

The song reminds me a lot to Bruno Mars’ smash “Treasure” taking Michael Jackson/Prince-schooled disco soul and adding that funky/R&B edge, which makes it an instant crush.

On the other hand, I find unnecessary add collaboration with Travie McCoy, neither his voice nor the pseudo-rap as a bridge, helping to improve the overall production.

Murs performed the single live for the first time during The X Factor Australia finale on Monday October 20th. The next morning he also performed on “Sunrise” TV show.

The music video directed by ZS Grant was premiered on VEVO on Tuesday October 29th.
