The inspiration for the artist name Goddaer pulled from a mountain in the United States, Ozark mountains, and from the book "Junkie" by William S. Burroughs. The first album of Ozark Henry, I'm Seeking Something That Has Already Found Me, was very avant garde slant. The third album, Birthmarks, formed the transition between earlier experimental music and pop music with classical influences, such as strings and brass. Goddaer writes, composes and produces his albums himself, because he wants to control as he makes his albums, so he can in the best way the sound voice he hears in his head.
