When I first saw this album and the artists, I figured it would be an excellent compilation. I even went online to find if I could sample the tracks. I was not able to. Big mistake. The first few songs sound great. The majority of the album has really old recordings that are mixed horribly. I am assuming that it is from the source material. Many of the songs sound like it is being sung underwater. Ding! Dong! Merrily on High Choir The words by G R Woodward are from the 20th century, while the tune is a 16th century French dance. The carol first appeared in 1924. The highly entertaining arrangement is by Dr Mack Wilberg, Director of Music of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. O Come All Ye Faithful Choir and congregation This is one of the best-known Christmas hymns ever written and probably dates from the 18th century.
