The diverse electronic sounds of Indonesian veteran LTN have captured our hearts for years now. It has been an extraordinary privilege to feature his music, ranging from deep house to trance, on our imprint. Were thrilled to feature him on our parent label for the first time this year with the deep house influenced Joy Is Pain. The track derives its name from a dubby male vocal refrain, in which a variety of opposing concepts are juxtaposed, culminating in the titular phrase. Meanwhile, a classic deep groove, coupled with a hypnotic, subterranean atmosphere, give the dancefloor a steady bump. Deep, rolling bassline notes emerge soon thereafter, and subtle yet refreshing melodies are added in the background. In the break, a blissful piano line makes its entrance, which is beautifully accompanied by inspiring arpeggio melodies.
