Motorik is a bunch of fun loving layabouts, rave shamans and former indie rockstars based in or around a beach, Sydney, Australia. Born from the ashes empty discarded bags left at Bang Gang HQ, its focused on one thing, and one thing only: fun with techno. Built around the namesake party, its an entirely new well, kind of, sort of, whatever take on dancefloor oriented electronics. Motorik will celebrate its fifth birthday with a digital compilation, due for release on April. The Sydney label and party collective has clocked up 26 releases, showcasing a range of domestic techno and house acts that make up the broader Motorik family. The compilation full name 5 Years of Motorik: An Australian Electronic Experiment will feature 14 new tracks and remixes from artists like The Finger Prince, Francis Xavier and Jensen Interceptor.
