Having recently completed university studies in his native South Africa, Jason Beukes aka Escapism Refuge is now set to release his debut album on London label Deep Heads. Beukes has received some highly impressive support for his productions thus far, including Gilles Peterson at BBC Radio 6 Music, Joe Kay at Soulection and Lefto of Brownswood Recordings, amongst others. Hold Deluxe runs the gamut of urban and dance flavoured styles, with a proud UK influence throughout. From the deep dubstep which are evocative expressions in future beat production and even some moments of blunted hip-hop on Light Up or smooth liquid drum & bass alike on Dream Fly. It's proof that there's certainly a wide variety in this talented producer's repertoire.
