Hot Lipps Records has had a string of quality releases of late and this fifth and most recent offering continues the impressive path. Comprised of Toronto based producers Peter and Steve Primiani, formerly of 83 West Records and Camouflage Recordings, Hot Lipps Inc. open the EP with Trapped - a blistering cut with a vocal some will recognize from house musics earliest days. A simple 808 drum machine, a saw-wave bass, and driving synths give the classic singing style a tasteful update.
